Naila Moreira

Naila Moreira is a science writing specialist at Smith College, where she directs the Journalism Concentration. Naila has published science journalism, nature writing, fiction, and poetry in venues including The Boston Globe, Seattle Times, Daily Hampshire Gazette, and a variety of literary journals such as Terrain.org and the Cider Press Review. She has poetry forthcoming in Scientific American and a middle grade novel forthcoming from Walker Books US in spring 2024. She holds a doctorate in geology from the University of Michigan, and plays ultimate frisbee and birdwatches in her free time.
